Today’s sermon was about heaven, and this verse stood out to me:
2 Corinthians 4:18 New International Version (NIV)
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
We were encouraged to live our lives with heaven always on our minds. If we live in light of eternity, I truly believe we will live differently.
I can get bogged down in the day to day of life. Life with small kids, an old house, a church to work on, a part time job to do can get overwhelming. I often let me emotions get the best of me. I act in light of the temporary.
Today is a good reminder that life is fleeting. We are here for such a short amount of time. Let’s make the best of it and act as if we don’t know when it could be our last day. Because none of us really do.
